We Are Home

La Quinta, California: Not too much to report from our past few busy days of driving south. (Okay, it was only DT driving.) We left Sacramento Wednesday morning and camped in Bakersfield Wednesday night. Nothing to tell of that night except somehow an earwig found itself into my hair while I was out under the trees at our campsite, because one fell from my head during cocktail hour, dropped down my cleavage, causing me to jump - and I am not even afraid of bugs. I pulled my shirt over my head, knocking my newly-shaken martini off the table, and the earwig was released from my chest, into an icy gin-soaked death on the floor.

Not the worst death, I suppose.

My vista Wednesday and Thursday.

Thursday was much of the same - driving over The Grapevine, passing north of Los Angeles and returning home mid-afternoon. Our house had been cleaned and within a few hours we had the RV emptied and fell into bed exhausted.

Friday was spent doing laundry, re-organizing, having the RV washed, returning the clean RV to storage, fetching groceries, and again collapsing into bed exhausted. Why all the rush? The kids are coming tomorrow for a week! Keep checking back, as we have a big adventure planned Sunday.

Until my next update, I remain, your organized correspondent.
