Cabo San Lucas, Mexico: A very low-key evening yesterday, so nothing to report, except DT thought I was all glowy in the Observation Lounge and snapped my photo.

I think I was glowy due to the sunset, or maybe because I was looking at My Husband? But sadly, this was not a Tanqueray martini. Maybe not even gin? We went to the Whiskey Lounge and they set me straight. No luck again sneaking our way into the French restaurant, but the steak house (they claim they are fully booked) was about half-full and seated us right away. Cagney's was not as good as I remembered from our other visits, but the baked potato was divine. Who could screw-up a baked potato?
When I woke this morning we were anchored in the Cabos San Lucas bay, with the Holland America Zuiderdam. Also anchored in the bay was the beautiful Attessa IV, the 328-foot, 24 passenger, yacht belonging to Montana billionaire Dennis Washington.
It really was a glorious morning. Warm and sunny. We could watch birds diving below us and several times rays jumped out of the water. I stitched for a while, then had to rip-out stitches because I made a dumb mistake (first time EVER). Removing stitches is so dang messy and time consuming.
About ten o'clock we went down to Deck 4 to hop-on (literally) a small ferry boat for the 15-minute shuttle to the pier. Cabo does not have a cruise ship dock. Due to the fragile marine and wildlife (that is already stressed to the max with tourists), I hope they never do. No one asks me. Since we have been sailing, whale watching, snorkeling and anything else we would ever want to do (no to camel rides nor ATVing in the desert) in this port, now we just stroll around the fishing boat docks, poke into the shops, have fish tacos, and walk back to the pier. We contemplated just remaining on the ship, but we have another day-at-sea tomorrow. A girl can only needlepoint so much.

We always go to the same place on the wharf - Baja Cafe. (It is several restaurants past the red & white lighthouse building.) They serve good food (at US prices), have friendly servers, great drinks and nice bathrooms. Consider sharing, as the portions are so large. We did not finish our meals. And warning if you are interested in the made-at-table guacamole: it is massive. I mean CUPS of guacamole.

At 2p, our Captain spun the ship around and left port, giving us a perfect view of the famous arch in Cabo San Lucas.
Since we will be at sea tomorrow, this site will not be updated until we are home Sunday - when I will post an update and a quick review of the ship/trip.
Until my next update, I remain, your Cabo correspondent.
