At Sea: Nothing to report. Will it ever end? Two sea days together on a 7-night voyage is a bit much. We are only buoyed (pun intended) with three port calls in a row next on our itinerary. It definitely was rinse and repeat today. Big plates of fruit for breakfast in the Observation Lounge, followed by needlepointing and exercising, lunch in the buffett (huge salads), and a nap. Big Day.
The first day of the cruise, I posted a photo of our cabin, looking OUT. Here is the reverse. But same husband, still working on crossword puzzles.
Wow, did we have a stunner of a sunset tonight. My Driver thought it could only be enhanced with a photo of his bride with wet hair. He's so funny.
At six o'clock we dressed for dinner and went for a cocktail in the Whiskey Bar (where neither of us had whiskey) and chatted up the nicest fellows - runners - from England, before going to one of the fancy restaurants where we did not have reservations, La Cucina. We did not have reservations because there were no reservations to be had 15 minutes after reservations opened-up Sunday noon. However... we have learned, if you are only a party of two and are properly attired, tables do magically appear. We had a lovely table with a view to sea (but it was dark and we could see nothing).
La Cucina has the most divine beef lasagna. I have been trying to recreate it for several years now and maybe have cracked the code with this last taste? Maybe it is the "grind" of the beef? Only problem is the portion is about 5x5 inches. I couldn't even eat 1/3 of the dish. We asked the server and she said no one ever finishes the lasagna. Hey, maybe serve smaller portions? All food is included with your passage. You can ask for seconds.
Before we rise tomorrow morning, the Bliss will dock in Puerto Vallarta. We will disembark and head north to Sayulita on the local bus to meet Brother Steve and Kris. That's our only plan (except to find tacos).
