But my menu is not what consumed most of my day. We are going on a road trip in our bus for much of August. Yellowstone National Park! Deciding to go to Yellowstone National Park in August is equal to deciding to go to Hawaii over Christmas. No room at the inn. It took hours on the phone and all of my considerable internet skills to pull-off this trip, Dear Reader. I hope you will all enjoy our Postcards from the Road as we tour through the beautiful wild west of Our Great Nation.
In my spare time, I arranged for our Grand Dawg to be flown back to Los Angeles via a girl-who-now-works-with-the-roommate-of-the-Lovely-Lisa-and-went-to-high-school-with-Mary’s-son. Anyone dizzy yet?

To honor Bastille Day, I served Chicken Provencal. But not some fancy Chicken Provencal, but a very easy, one-pan, Chicken Provencal that is perfect for the RV and fancy enough for company.
(Ignore the fact I served the easy-for-RV/company Chicken Provencal with parsley potatoes and roasted radishes. And we won’t mention the French 75 cocktail, or the green onion and tarragon galette with herbed goat cheese I served as the appetizer, okay?)
I am going to post these recipes as soon as I post the Lemon Artichoke Chicken Salad recipe from our romantic 30th Anniversary picnic on Monday.
I can’t post the recipe for the nectarine tart I baked this afternoon, as I just threw it together. Our niece, Carla, is coming over tomorrow and I want to make sure she doesn’t starve between meals. We girls are having pedicures and then DT is taking us out to the ball game.
