Italian is basically French bread with a little olive oil. This recipe makes a nice, small loaf. Perfect for a small family dinner.
6 oz water (3/4 cup)
2 Tablespoons olive oil
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoons yeast
Add ingredients to bread machine pan in order given. Use french/dough cycle. After cycle is finished, shape into long, thin loaf. Place on oiled baking sheet, slash top, and rise for 30-40 minutes, or until doubled. Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes.
Makes 1 baguette.
