Indio, California: I dealt with the one-hour time change head-on. I went to bed an hour early and woke at the “new seven o’clock in the morning” and was out for a five mile run at “the new nine o’clock”.
Can’t say the same about the person on the other side of my bed.
Instead of going out for a fancy brunch, we had our own fancy brunch. I hand-squeezed tangerines. What could be better than a glass of fresh-squeezed citrus? Um, that would be fresh-squeezed juice with a little bubbly!
Perfect to enjoy while watching the golf tournament via the outside television! (Screens were down due to a breezy situation.)
Breakfast is served…
Complete with perfectly ripe organic strawberries.
I enjoyed a lovely day. After my run and waffle, I had a mani-pedi with Henry. Wow. Then I stopped by the market, where I saw these strange things:
Seriously? Is everyone is so caught-up with the Papal Conclave they can’t even dye eggs? (And isn’t Easter still three weeks away?)
Speaking of tradition… Our All-Organic Grandson had a rude awakening this afternoon – courtesy of his Father.
This scene reminds me of the first time we took Lisa to McDonald’s. No one can deny the lure of a McDonald’s fry.
LET’S MOVE IN MARCH! I have challenged y’all to get out there, lace up your sneakers and walk or jog (or the exercise of your choice) at least 30 minutes – five or six days a week in March. I’m doing this for charity and my prominent backside.
I started my week with a five miler – 4 around the block and another inside the resort, listening to Jimmy Buffett tunes all the while. How’s it going for you? Please comment below.
Miles jogged for the day/month: 5/32
Until my next update, I remain, your pedicured correspondent.
