Do Not Read if Hungry

Napa, California: Another beautiful sunny day in Napa. DT circled around a grassy field in the fairgrounds and I ran into town to jog along the paved Napa River Trail.

The boys golfed today, so Mary and I had the day to shop, enjoy a leisurely lunch and gather the ingredients for our tailgate party tomorrow at Stanford University.

Our first stop was back to the Oxbow Public Market. We had perfect chicken tacos from C Casa and were able to eat outside on the market's patio. Really a treat in November.

We shopped at Whole SpiceKara's Cupcakes and The Olive Press.

And now this author will take a pause before the following food photos to post a photo of a certain little fellow on a playground (wearing strange giant plastic glasses) in Los Angeles:

Always having fun and always smiling - that's Little Leo. Leo is now 2 years, 3 months old.

Mary and I went to a massive (pretty fancy) Raley's supermarket to purchase tailgate supplies. This store is about the size of a football field. I clocked 3000 steps on my pedometer gathering the items on our list! This store also has 30% off bottles of alcohol if you buy 6. This discount makes a bottle of Jack Daniels around $14. Let's just say our liquor cabinets are now well-stocked. After returning to the RV's, we prepped the foods for the party tomorrow.

After the guys returned we went to dinner at Gott's Roadside in Napa - a chain of three burger joints - for dinner.

Cute buzzer

We ordered a wholebunchastuff different items off the menu.

Warning: delicious food below:

Dinner for five - with beers, $80
Fast food, real food, not cheap food

Garlic Fries

Onion Rings

Fall Special: turkey burger with onion chutney

Local chicken strips - with panko crust

Blue Cheese Burger

Tomorrow we move into Serious Game Day Mode. This is a huge game. Broadcast nation-wide on ESPN at 6p pacific. Look for us on TV.

We'll be the ones in Green & Yellow.

Until my next update, I remain, your burping correspondent.

RV PARK: Napa Valley Expo RV Park. Our favorite campground in the area. Long paved full-service pull-through sites with 50 amp. Bathhouse, laundry, free wifi, lawn, picnic table. At the fairgrounds and just a short drive to downtown Napa. We paid $45 per night, with a Good Sam discount.
