Back in Borrego

Borrego Springs, California: Slowly making our way back to Indio, we decided to spend a last few relaxing (ha) days in Beautiful Borrego Springs at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort & Golf Course.

We spent some time with Dad and Mary this morning and enjoyed a view of a colorful hot air balloon over our RV resort, before leaving Yuma and pointing the Magna Peregrinus 125 miles west to Borrego Springs.

We have a front-row campsite, over-looking the golf course... and hopefully situated away from bad tee shots.

Our view

DT went directly to the driving range and I went directly to the citrus stand down the road to purchase more of the lovely juicing oranges we shared with Kathy & Woody on our last visit to Borrego Springs.

 Eight pounds for $3!

Sadly, my very-well-equipped RV kitchen is seriously lacking in the juicer department. The teeny little plastic juicer came with a few other white plastic pieces in a "baby food making" set I purchased in Tokyo. In 1981. I have no idea what ever happened to the rest of the set, but that juicer is still with us and possibly one of the most-traveled juicers in the world? And trust me, after 30+ years, that juicer has made a lot more margaritas than baby food.

After juicing a only a dozen oranges to get a quart of juice, this old gal enjoyed a glass of cold OJ. So delicious.

Until my next update, I remain, your Borrego Springs correspondent.

RV PARK: The Springs at Borrego RV Resort & Golf Course. One of our very favorite RV parks on the west coast. Sites are large and each has a nice cement patio and picnic table. Cement 50 amp pull-throughs with full service. There are also different varieties of citrus trees all over, so you will never be lacking for a cocktail garnish in the winter. Wifi. Fabulous warm pool and many hot tubs - all from their own hot springs! Fitness center, library, community rooms. Regulation 9-hole golf course. Recycling. Huge fenced dog park! We are paying $82 per night for a "premium" site, nightly rate.
